Wasteland Chests Overview
The Wasteland in Stellar Blade, encountered after your initial arrival in Xion, contains a total of six passcoded chests. These chests offer a variety of useful items, ranging from Nano-Materials and Nano-Elements to money and even outfit schematics. Unlocking them often requires finding a specific passcode, which can be acquired by looting robots or corpses, or by completing certain missions. Some chests and their corresponding passcodes may not be immediately accessible, requiring further story progression.
The Antenna Chest and Passcode
To obtain the passcode for the Antenna chest, navigate to the Great Canyon section of The Wasteland. Look for a large boat. Inside, after dealing with or bypassing the Hedgeboars and Boarlets guarding the entrance, turn left. An open shipping container on your left will contain a corpse. Approach the corpse, then look to your right for a crack in the wall. Proceed through this crack and follow the passage until you encounter a robot. Defeat the robot and loot its remains to acquire the Antenna passcode.
The Antenna Chest itself is located in the Scrap Plains. The map marker for this chest will guide you past the junkyard and up a ramp. At the top, defeat the Creepers, then turn left and drop down to a small rock outcrop. Here, you will find a yellow drone and an antenna. The chest is situated at this location. Opening it will reward you with Ranged Ammo and Ranged Projectile Ammo.
Destroyed Monorail Chest and Passcode
The passcode for the Destroyed Monorail Chest is found in the Scrap Plains area of The Wasteland. Head to the southeast corner of the basin that leads to Digger’s Scrapyard. Here, you will encounter two sniper turrets. Utilize nearby cover to bypass the first turret and ascend to the rock formation in the center of the area. A robot will be present here; defeat it and loot its body to obtain the passcode.
The chest is not far from the passcode location. Proceed to the designated map area where you will find a monorail car. Access this car by going up a broken road and crossing a ruined school bus. Inside the monorail car, the chest will be on your right. The rewards for opening this chest are Healing Consumables.
Collapsed Building Chest and Passcode
To get the passcode for the Collapsed Building Chest, travel to the Scrap Plains and locate the marked area on your map. Within the ruins of a destroyed building at this location, you will find a robot. Eliminate the robot and loot its body to acquire the Collapsed Building Passcode.
The chest itself is a short distance up the road from where you found the code. You will arrive in front of the collapsed building, which is situated to the right of the rope leading down into the Forbidden Area. Move to the right-hand side of this building, where you will see a ridge. Follow this ridge past a supply box inside a collapsed building until you reach a small area containing the locked chest. Input the passcode to open it. This chest contains Five Drone Modules.
Locked Shipping Container
The Locked Shipping Container is located in the Great Canyon area of The Wasteland. Unlocking this container is a more involved process than other chests. First, you must accept the “Recruit Passcode Specialists” side mission from the bulletin board in Xion, which becomes available after your initial return from The Wasteland. Second, you need to collect all six Prayer databanks. Once both requirements are met, proceed to the shipping container at its marked location on the map. Input the correct passcode to open it. The rewards for this container are the La Vi en Rose Outfit and the Prayer 7 Data Bank.
Wasteland Fishing Cave Chest
This chest is situated within a cave located just north of the Solar Tower. To unlock this particular chest, you must first acquire the mission “A Gift for a Fishing Maniac”.
